The Race will be run as a one-day event. The 2010 Raceday will be Friday 30 July. The course will be appx. 30 km. The route for bohh Race and WC Surfski goes on the outer side of Tinden to Nykvåg and back again. (See map). Alternatives are set depending on weather conditions.
To participate in Race Day, you will not have to have participated during the entire week. By doing this we wish to open Race Day to participants who want to paddle the Race but who are unable to participate in all of the week's events.

On Race Day, competition will be in classes K1 - Women and K1- Men - K2 Men and K2 Women.

Participants in the Ramble may choose whether they want to paddle the touring marathon (last year's route 42 km) or Race Day route on the same day. The ASKR crew hope that Race Day will provide motivation for sea kayakers from Norway and abroad to train a little harder, and then to come to the beautiful Vesterålen islands in order to prove their skills. Both events qualify for successful completion of ASKR in each category and thereby make the participant eligible for the drawing (prize: a new kayak).
